Go to google maps.
To get a Google Map embedded on your website, you’ll need to start on Google Maps. Go to https://maps.google.com/.
Search the area you want to add a map of
The first thing you’ll need to do is search for the area you want to add a map of on Google Maps. If you have a business or event, type in your address or name and hit enter, then click on the name of your business. If you’re adding a map of the area you’re writing about, search for the state and city and click on that.
Get a link to your embedded content
After you’ve searched and clicked on the location you want, look for a “Link” button. This will be to the right of the “Directions” button. [Note: when we were writing this article, there was no “Link” button.] Click on it and copy the link that appears in your address bar (should look likehttps://www.google.com/maps/embed ).
Customize your embedded map
Since the map comes from Google, you can edit what shows up on your embedded map. You can also change how it looks by changing the size and color of your map. Click on “Customize and Share” to do this (should be below the link to share ).
